EVENT PLANNING
Though my MBTI type (ESFP) says I'm a Performer by nature, by choice I live and breathe in the role of "Event Planner". Being an event planner acted as the catalyst for my love of everything PR related, making Event Planning not just a hobby - but a passion.
At Concordia I've had the privilege of planning numerous events, from smaller scale floor events as a Resident Assistant to large scale events like the on-campus Homecoming celebrations. Check out my portfolio, and if your passions align with mine (or even if they don't) and you want to chat some more, click the nifty button below.

Event Planning Class | Summer 2015

Pederson/Johnston Wedding
In the summer of 2015, I decided to explore my passion further and take a class solely dedicated to event planning.
As part of the course, we were asked to put together a ficticious event for at least 100 people. We could plan any type of event of our choosing, so for my project I decided to plan a wedding loosely based off of the wishes of two of my close friends.
In the planning of this event, I analyzed the would-be-bride's Pinterest page, as well as consulted with her and the would-be-groom to ensure I was making choices related to their wants.

In the middle of my freshman year, I spontaneously decided to apply for and was accepted onto Concordia's Homecoming committee. Througout my time with the organization, I was able to hold three separate postions, two of which were as part of the Executive Team.

As the Programs & Events Commissioner for Student Government (SGA), it is my responsibility to plan and execute all SGA related events. I lead a committee of 6 other senators, and each plays an important part in the event brainstorming, planning, and execution process.
Below I've included a slideshow of Civic Engagement Week, an on campus event, as well as some samples to other events I've led through SGA. As my term has not yet ended, there is more to come!
